INTRODUCING FINACHI FILMS.

Finachi Films is a film licensing business that sources, acquires and licenses content for use on media platforms and linear TV.

Unlike many licensing businesses in the sector, we already have distribution in place with one of the UK’s leading independent distributors for any content we acquire – with an immediate path to market for the titles we purchase.

Before purchasing any content, we run an ROI report, estimating the low, medium, and high returns the content should generate. Each title is licensed to us for a term of between 5-15 years.

We then sub-license our rights, to streaming and TV services either exclusively or across multiple services at once, for a set period (usually around 2 years); in each country – primarily the UK and USA.

CONTENT
DISTRIBUTION.

There are multiple routes to releasing content into the US and UK markets. All content purchased will be sold into one or more of our key distribution channels.

Traditionally, a movie would be released into a new release window for 9-12 weeks. This is where we would receive the majority of our income. Delivering approx. 80% of our initial investment. However, in the new and expanded streaming world, the model has evolved dramatically to include an important, incremental new revenue channel – AVOD (Advertising-Based Video on Demand).

AVOD is a new way for filmmakers and video creators to monetize their work, by allowing viewers to access their content for free, while the OTT platform service providers monetise through ads.

Finley brings the distribution relationships and knowhow, while Mal brings the experience of film and managing large annual film budgets, purchasing and managing content for Home Entertainment veterans BLOCKBUSTER®, Xtra-vision™ and HMV.
